Guest ムラト・アクティハノグル氏は、ニューヨークを代表するテクノロジー・アクセラレーター兼アーリーステージVC「ERA」の共同創業者でマネージング・パートナー。2011年の設立以来、全アクセラレーター・コホートおよび全ファンドを統括し、これまでに375社以上のスタートアップに投資してきた。
起業家・投資家・技術者・著者としても活躍。2008年には位置情報型SNS「Centrl」を創業。2007年には非営利団体「Entrepreneurs Roundtable」を設立し、ニューヨークのスタートアップ・コミュニティ形成に貢献している。
これまでAT&T、ソニー、パナソニックなど世界的企業で技術責任者を務め、テック系カンファレンスの登壇者としても知られる。米日カウンシル評議員なども歴任。

Guest 記念すべき第１回目は、室田浩司さん（京都大学　副理事（社会連携・イノベーション推進担当）兼　成長戦略本部本部長）をお招きして、11月21日に収録を行ないました。
室田さんは、NINEJPにおいては、海外拠点の高度活用を担われておられます。
そこで、第1回目らしく、室田さんにNINEJPをはじめとした日本の大学におけるグローバル展開の方向性、そのなかでの米国東海岸における活動と今後の戦略に関して、お話しいただきました。
For our memorable first episode, we welcomed Mr. Koji Murota (Deputy Executive Director of Kyoto University, Director-General for the office of institutional advancement and communication) and recorded the session on November 21.
Mr. Murota is responsible for the advanced utilization of overseas hubs within NINEJP.
In this inaugural session, we asked him to discuss the direction of global expansion at NINEJP and Japanese universities along with current activities on the U.S. East Coast and the strategies moving forward. Watch Archived Video

New York as an Innovation Hub Shaped by NYCEDC

New York is one of the world’s leading innovation hubs, where diverse industries such as finance, technology, and life sciences converge.
NYCEDC (New York City Economic Development Corporation) plays a major role – the expansion of startups, companies, and universities through initiatives such as startup support and the development of research and innovation hubs. This seminar will highlight NYCEDC’s initiatives while introducing the opportunities and appeal of expanding into New York for Japanese startups and academic institutions, as well as the possibilities for collaboration with the local innovation ecosystem.
